Artist Bio

Natalie Grilli is a photographer, multimedia artist and educator born in Youngstown, OH; living and working in Cincinnati, OH. Trained in fine art, photojournalism and portrait photography, her personal work focuses on preserving the abstract and intangible nature of memory and nostalgia as the tangible and visual form of a photograph and photographic objects. Natalie has exhibited her personal work nationally and is an award-winning portrait photographer internationally.  She was a recipient of a Visual Journalism Fellowship from the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, FL in 2001. Natalie holds AS degree in photojournalism from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (2001), BFA in Photography from The Ohio State University (2004) and MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (2016). She has been a part of  adjunct rosters in the Photography departments at Miami University of Ohio, Art Academy of Cincinnati, and Antonelli College and currently runs her child and portrait photography studio full time.
